Manchester City are ready to offer Kyle Walker a two-year contract to stay at the Etihad Stadium following his spectacular return to Pep Guardiola's team and winning the treble.
The 33-year-old Walker appeared to have an uncertain future in April when he lost his usual place at the City team and Guardiola admitted he could not play as a midfielder in the new system in which one defender moved forward.
But the England international returned to Guardiola's plans and scored in a Champions League win over Real Madrid, appearing in seven consecutive games before coming off the bench when a treble was recorded in Istanbul.
