The new coupe will appear on the European market this fall, and the model will reach dealers in the US in early 2024.
The new-generation Mercedes-Benz C-class and E-class do not have two-door modifications in their families, they have been replaced by new models – the Mercedes-Benz CLE coupe and cabriolet. Visually, CLE is closer to the “tseshka”: this can be seen from the lines of the body, the edging of the side glazing line, the relatively narrow grille, and also from the stampings on the hood. The expressive lines on the front and rear fenders add swiftness to the silhouette.

The CLE comes as standard with LED headlights and optional Digital Light matrix headlights . The new coupe and convertible are fitted with original 18 to 20 inch wheels.
In terms of dimensions, the Mercedes-Benz CLE turned out to be larger than the coupe of the C-Class and E-Class families. Its length is 4850 mm (164 mm more than that of the “tseshki” and 15 mm longer than the “eshki”), the width is 1860 mm (50 mm more), the height is 1428 mm (23 mm more). The distance between the axles of the novelty is 2865 mm (25 mm more than the two-door C-class). Trunk volume – 420 liters (60 liters more than the “tseshka” and 5 liters less than the “eshki”).
The interior of the Mercedes-Benz CLE is not much different from the interior of the current C-Class sedan (W206 series). On the front panel are a virtual tidy with a diagonal of 12.3 inches, as well as a touchscreen of the MBUX infotainment system with a diagonal of 11.9 inches (the system supports 5G); There is also a head-up display. For a surcharge, you can choose a Burmester premium sound system with seventeen speakers.
The coupe and convertible received multi-contour heated front seats with a position memory function, ventilation and massage are also optionally available. The legroom for passengers sitting in the rear has increased (by 72 mm). The list of differences between the open top version includes the presence of a soft folding roof, as well as the ability to adjust the angle of the multimedia screen (from glare when driving with the top folded), by the way, this feature was previously equipped with the Mercedes-AMG SL convertible.
Mercedes-Benz CLE was equipped with electrified technology: all motors work in tandem with a 48-volt starter-generator that produces 23 hp. and 200 Nm (it helps in the first seconds of acceleration) and are equipped with a nine-speed automatic transmission 9G-Tronic. At the start of sales, customers will be offered a rear-wheel drive version of the CLE 220 d with a 2.0-liter diesel engine with 200 hp and a maximum torque of 440 Nm. Also in the range there is a CLE 200 with a 204-horsepower petrol engine of the same volume (320 Nm). This option can have both rear-wheel drive and 4Matic all-wheel drive system. Mercedes-Benz CLE Convertible (400 Nm). Such a car takes 6.2 seconds to accelerate from standstill to hundreds. The top version was the CLE 450, it was equipped with a 3.0-liter 381-horsepower inline turbo six (500 Nm). This variation takes 4.4 seconds for the same exercise. In the future, the family will be replenished with a rechargeable hybrid. and the two-door will reach dealers in the USA at the beginning of the next one.
