The German tuning studio Brabus continues to expand the range of models of «non-core» brands: the first Porsche from the elite Rocket line with a noticeably redesigned body is presented and forced up to 900 hp «bi-turbo».
Brabus has become famous for tuning Mercedes, and for other brands as part of the Brabus Group there is an “umbrella” Startech studio (engaged in tuning Aston Martin, Bentley, Jaguar, Land Rover, Maserati and Tesla). Last year, the concept changed and now not only Mercedes are sold under the Brabus brand: the Bottrop-based company already offers completion programs for the Rolls-Royce Ghost, two Porsche models (911 Turbo and Taycan) and even a KTM motorcycle, and recently the first model of a “non-core » a brand from the Rocket line — it includes the most powerful and expensive Brabus models.

The novelty, called the Brabus 900 Rocket R, is based on the Porsche 911 Turbo S coupe of the current generation 992. The designers have comprehensively worked on the style and created an image that is associated specifically with Brabus models: the sports car received a rather elegant wide-body carbon fiber body kit with carefully thought-out aerodynamics , it includes a new front bumper with a developed splitter, a new rear bumper with a more efficient diffuser, wheel arch extensions with fancy edging, side sill extensions, a new fixed rear spoiler, a carbon roof and carbon fiber rear-view mirrors. Brabus Monoblock P Platinum Edition forged wheels with carbon fiber inserts are shod with Continental SportContact 7 tires in 255/45 ZR 21 front and 335/45 ZR 22 rear.

In the stock coupe, the boxer “biturbo-six” with a working volume of 3745 cm3 produces a maximum of 650 hp. and 800 Nm, and Brabus specialists increased the output to 900 hp with the help of more efficient turbochargers. and 1000 Nm. The acceleration time to 100 km/h was reduced from 2.7 to 2.5 s, the maximum speed increased from 330 to 340 km/h. Complete with a modified motor is a new exhaust system made of heat-resistant Inconel alloy with a bypass valve that allows you to adjust the volume of the exhaust. The gearbox is standard — an 8-speed «automatic» PDK with two clutches, the drive for all Porsche 911 Turbos is only full. In addition, the Brabus 900 Rocket R received an upgraded suspension with new adjustable springs and shock absorbers.

Brabus will produce just 25 examples of the 900 Rocket R coupe, starting at €461,500 net of taxes, about double what you would pay for the original stock Porsche 911 Turbo coupe S.
