Inter Milan to make new bid on Romelu Lukaku This week, the Chelsea striker is willing to sacrifice nearly £1m a year to return to Italy permanently.
Chelsea have rejected one Inter bid for Lukaku, demanding £40m, and tried to organize an auction for the sale of three clubs between the Champions League finalists, the Saudi club Al-Hilal and Juventus.
Lukaku has assured Inter that however he has no intention of moving to Juventus and has not accepted Al-Hilal's offer as he is focused on returning to Inter, where he spent last season on loan.
Inter is working to try and sign Lukaku permanently, and the 30-year-old is willing to take a pay cut to try and help push through the move.
Lukaku earns nearly £140,000 a week after taxes and has offered to cut it down to £120,000 a week to return to Inter. hopefully this will be enough to convince Chelsea to end his disappointing second spell at Stamford Bridge.
New Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has said he expects Lukaku to return to the club for preliminary stage. in-season training on Wednesday or Thursday if a deal to leave him isn't agreed.
But there's a good chance Lukaku won't be back and it's hoped Chelsea will agree to sell him before he faces a potentially difficult situation.
Christian Pulisic will not have to return to Chelsea after the club agreed a deal with Milan to sell him, but the future of Pierre Eymerick-Aubameyang and Hakim Ziyech remains undecided.
< p> Ziyech could still move to Al Nasr, despite the fact that the deal to move him to Saudi Arabia was initially delayed, while Aubameyang was interested in Al Attifak, who was now managed by Steven Gerrard.
