Three foreign auto companies have not decided on the fate of their plants in the Russian Federation in 2023

Over the past almost a year and a half, the largest automakers from the USA, Europe and Japan have been ever declaring the termination of their work in Russia and the sale of the constructed plants. So, quite recently, Isuzu announced its resignation and sold the enterprise in Ulyanovsk.

However, Stellanties, Hyundai and Mitsubishi still have not made statements about the final withdrawal from Russia. So, the Hyundai plant in St. Petersburg never sold — At first, there were rumors that Astana Motors would acquire it, but they were refuted by representatives of the company. Later, the Ministry of Industry and Trade said that Hyundai really wants to sell the enterprise, however, it is not yet known who exactly.

The fate of the PSMA Rus plant is also not known. Stellantis Concern in Kaluga, where Paugeot, Citroen and Opel commercial vehicles have been produced for a long time. Foreign media wrote that the company could move the production of LCV to other countries, but this did not happened, and the main office of Stellantis continues to remain silent. Concerning this the same enterprise reports nothing Mitsubishi — the Outlander and Pajero Sport models were also assembled here.
