On July 29, 2023, the annual regional festival “Retrospective-2023” will be held in Ulyanovsk, the purpose of which is to develop and popularize retroculture in the region and beyond, organization of youth leisure, education of patriotism, historical education of the population and association of owners of ancient technology.
The initiator of the festival is the Ulyanovsk regional public organization for the assistance and support of motorsport enthusiasts OneClub (UROO “VANKLAB”), popularly known as the Old Style Car Club “VANKLAB”.
The festival is organized at the expense of the Presidential Grants Fund, with the support of DARS and with the financial support of sponsors.

As part of the Retrospective festival, a rally of owners of vintage cars and motorcycles is held, interactive classes are held, old-style things are shown, competitions, a lottery are organized, the best cars and motorcycles in various categories are evaluated and awarded, and the audience award is raffled off.
< p>In 2023, more than 100 units of retro cars and motorcycles from different cities of Russia were announced for participation.
“Retrospective” is a platform for communication and exchange of experience of people for whom technology is a hobby, profession, passion. Sometimes owners prepare cars for such exhibitions for several years, finishing their restoration projects at night to present the result to the public, thereby surprising friends, colleagues or ordinary passers-by.

“Retrospective” is a bright family holiday where you can spend a day off with pleasure and benefit. Each individual exhibit of the Retrospective attracts a crowd when it appears on the street, and dozens of such cars gather at the festival – on the same day on the same site.
At the festival, you can also get acquainted with the works of the art workshops of the city and purchase their products. Interactive zones will operate during the event.
The festival annually gathers a large audience (residents of the city, exhibitors and guests from other cities of Russia), is a bright informational occasion for publications in the media (the festival is supported by major media partners), as well as a place for bright photographs that annually fill the social networks of residents and guests of the city.

So, in 2019, the festival was attended by more than 10,000 residents and guests of the city. The exposition featured vintage cars from Ulyanovsk, Kazan, Cheboksary and Samara. The program of the festival included entertainment events, competitions, photo shoots, prize draws.
Venue: Ulyanovsk city, embankment of the Sviyaga River (SEC “AQUAMALL”).
In the program of the holiday:
- exposition and photo session with vintage cars and motorcycles;
- evaluation and awarding of the best cars and motorcycles in various categories;
- audience voting for the best retro car for the Audience Award;
- stylish music from the 60s-80s;
- retro-style fashion show (everyone can take part and win a prize);
