The production model of the Japanese brand is expected to be based on the eVX concept, which was introduced earlier this year. The start of sales is scheduled for 2025.
Suzuki's lineup does not currently include a single mass-produced electric vehicle. However, the “greening” process has actually already begun: in January of this year, the Japanese manufacturer showed the Suzuki eVX concept crossover, the debut was held at the Auto Expo in India. Even then, they promised to bring this show car to a serial novelty, and the company promised to make it global.

It is known that the Suzuki eVX concept was developed jointly with the Japanese brand Toyota; it is possible that Toyota will later release a twin of the model that Suzuki is currently developing. By the way, the process is in full swing: photo spies recently caught a prototype of the future crossover during road tests. The Suzuki eVX prototype (in fact, the production model will most likely be given a different name) is currently undergoing a series of summer tests on public roads in southern Europe. So far, the future novelty is carefully disguised with the help of a black, as if “crumpled” film. Despite this, a number of details can still be seen: for example, the crossover will have a raised hood, stampings on the sidewalls, traditional side mirrors and front door handles, and at the rear they are probably located in the roof pillars.
You can also see the «square» wheel arches, a spoiler in the upper part of the tailgate, a «shark fin» antenna on the roof, the lack of roof rails, as well as a hatch behind which There is a charging port located in the left front fender. Judging by the pictures, the production version of the new Suzuki crossover will have a different head optics and taillights.According to the publication, it is expected that in the model line of the Japanese brand, the serial crossover, created based on the Suzuki eVX concept, will take the place of a completely “green” alternative to the Suzuki S-Cross (in Russia this model is called the SX4). Note that the length of the SUV with an internal combustion engine is 4300 mm, the width is 1785 mm, and the height is 1585 mm. In turn, the dimensions of the eVX show car are 4300 x 1800 x 1600 mm.Photo spies failed to look into the salon. It is expected that there will be a pair of displays on the front panel: one of them will play the role of a virtual tidy, and the second will play the role of a touchscreen for the infotainment system. . It is worth noting that the company also told a little about the concept. It is known that it was equipped with a 60 kWh traction battery, and its power reserve on a single charge reaches 550 km (when calculated according to the MIDC cycle used in India). It was previously assumed that the production model will have a basic version with a 48 kWh battery and a range of about 400 km.

In the European market, the new product will likely compete with the Kia e-Niro, in India the crossover will compete for buyers with the Citroen eC3 Aircross and Hyundai Creta EV. A production version based on the Suzuki eVX concept is expected to debut next year and go on sale in 2025.
