England — Wales, Rugby World Cup 2023 warm-up: when and how to watch on TV

Lewis Ludlum and England are preparing for the first World Cup warm-up match on 5 August. in August.

Gatland named nine non-caps in a 43-man squad to warm up for next month's Rugby World Cup, including former England fullback Henry Thomas.

Thomas, 31, won seven caps for England in 2013-14 but qualified for Wales thanks to his father. He was able to take advantage of the same World Rugby eligibility rule that allowed Jean Klein to play for South Africa this month, previously representing Ireland.

The England manager has already made several important calls ahead of the match, dropping Sam Underhill and Bevan Rodd from the training squad.
