Russell Brand to Host Ron DeSantis for 'Deep Dive' Interview

Russell Brand is streaming daily on Rumble at 5pm UK time. Republican nomination.

The podcaster and actor, who broadcasts daily on the Rumble at 5pm UK time, will question Mr. DeSantis on a range of topics, including Donald Trump, the war in Ukraine and Julian Assange.

Mr Brand, 48, describes the Republican as «quite a powerful political voice, figure and speaker.»

The comedian said: “We dive deep into his presidential campaign and the future of US politics. Tune in!»

In an interview preview posted by Mr. Brand on Twitter, the Governor of Florida discusses Dr. Anthony Fauci, who has been the face of the US pandemic and the Covid lockdown.

One of the questions asks Mr. DeSantis how he will deal with Donald Trump's «wild card» and whether he will pardon the former president.

The former MTV host also asks Mr. DeSantis if he thinks of Edward Snowden and Julian Assange, men he describes as «exposing … deep corruption» should be forgiven.

The interview comes after Mr. DeSantis was interviewed by CNN — his first major TV interview with a non-conservative outlet — earlier this week as part of an attempt to restart the campaign.

In his meeting with the broadcaster, Mr. DeSantis went to great lengths to highlight his conservative beliefs as he sought to rob the former president of a huge lead in the polls.

Mr. DeSantis was criticized for his lack of charisma and inability to connect with voters.

E Earlier this week, Mr. DeSantis sent his wife Casey on the path of the 2024 Republican campaign.

Ms. DeSantis has been called the «humanizer» of the presidential candidate's campaign, largely because of her public relations skills.

Polls show Mr. DeSantis is trailing Mr. Trump by about 30 percent, prompting Ms. DeSantis to throw herself into the fray, performing solo earlier than planned, sources say.

The 43-year-old former local broadcaster made her first solo appearance earlier this month when she launched her Mamas for DeSantis group in Iowa.

Emboldened by his rival's unfavorable poll results, Trump wrote on social media Monday: «DeSanctus: very ungrateful guy! Now his poll results are crumbling!”
