Ben Foster sought out Nathan Bishop in the Manchester United dressing room after hearing how distraught the young goalkeeper had been over a problem that had sent Wrexham's star striker Paul Mullin to the hospital.

Mullin suffered a punctured lung following an ax hit by Bishop 12 minutes into Wrexham's 3-1 win over United Under 21s at the Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego and could now miss the start of the new League Two season.
Bishop's challenge prompted a furious reaction from Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson, who suggested that the 23-year-old goalkeeper would be better off bypassing their dressing room, a remark that angered United.
But Foster, Wrexham and the former United goalkeeper, heard how Bishop was devastated by the incident, went to console him and give Mullin's number so the goalkeeper could send a message of apology.
“I'm so sorry Nathan. , he's absolutely heartbroken,” Foster said. “I gave Paul's number to Nathan so he could contact him, but yes, he's completely gutted. I sympathize with this guy.”
