Ford Trucks, a pioneer in future transportation solutions, has taken part in the Horizon 2020 ZEFES (Zero Emission Freight EcoSystem) zero-emission logistics project initiated by the European Union. As part of the project, Ford Trucks will develop the F-MAX, the first fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) powered by hydrogen.
F-MAX will be the first fuel cell vehicle designed and built by Ford Trucks in Turkey.
Ford Trucks, which develops innovative and sustainable solutions through its engineering and R&D expertise, will gain significant expertise in hydrogen technology and FCEV research and demonstration with this initiative and include it in its mass production plan. He will also be able to observe the impact of the fuel cell vehicle on the market.
Ford Trucks aims to achieve sales of only zero-emission vehicles by 2040 to mitigate the effects of climate change. This commitment to achieving a zero-emissions future has been demonstrated by its active participation in the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) Joint Statement on a Roadmap for Heavy Vehicles.
To this end, Ford Trucks is working on various projects, including fuel cells and a hydrogen internal combustion engine to meet diverse fleet and customer requirements and meet the 2040 target, which aligns with the ACEA Declaration for Zero Emissions Freight Transportation.
