It's been more than a week since Hyundai introduced the completely redesigned Santa Fe, and now the SUV has been spotted in its home market. South Korean car paparazzi stumbled upon this production-ready prototype, which, fortunately, did not have any camouflage. This test car is a little different from the previous ones as it has a plug-in hybrid powertrain that Hyundai kept silent about in the initial release. In fact, the specifications are still shrouded in mystery.
2024 Santa Fe in the PHEV version has a «plug-in» badge; on the massive rear door, and the charging port is located on the right rear fender, the fuel cap for the gas tank is located on the driver's side. Hyundai has been generous with glossy black exterior trim and dimmed the headlights and all the badges.
Another video shows a completely black SUV in a different design, judging by a different front grille with silver squares instead of the black honeycomb pattern of the PHEV variant. The black prototype received smaller 18-inch wheels in a two-tone design and a silver «Santa» Fe badge. on black reprototype on the other prototype. In official photos, we spotted the "2.5T" next to the «HTRAC» logo, so we know about at least one power plant in the novelty.
