Mercedes is working on the final update of its iconic G-Class SUV. The current version as as we know it, the days are numbered. Mercedes G-Class is going through the last stretch of its commercial life. A model whose farewell will symbolize the end of the era of all-wheel drive vehicles with ICE. Mercedes plans to replace the G-Class with a 100% electric car, which will be called the Mercedes EQG.
For a certain period of time, both models will coexist in the market. Therefore, it is necessary that the G-Class, which we can currently find in dealerships, be updated. And that's exactly what the German company is working on. On Agenda — facelift launch. «Facelift» will allow this generation to live the rest of the commercial life.
«Headquarters» Mercedes moved to Southern Europe for the purpose of conducting very important tests. And photo spies came across an updated Mercedes G-Class 2024. The prototype is parked in the open air and unattended. This moment was used to commemorate the test unit in great detail.
The exterior, interior and even the bottom of the car were photographed. The prototype is still partially disguised. But under the camouflage you can see the main changes that will occur in the front. So, restyling will mostly affect the optics and off-road grille.

Mechanical changes will also be made to increase the level of efficiency of this SUV. It should be noted that the photographed prototype has a 2024 Mercedes G 500 nameplate.
