This year, the Porsche 911 celebrates 60 years since its debut at the 1963 Frankfurt Motor Show. On this occasion, Porsche could not help but come up with some special version — it received the designation S/T and will be the lightest among the current generation 992 sports cars.
The Porsche 911 family of the 992 generation already has a lighter version of the T — it debuted last fall, but the Porsche 911 S/T is a completely different, higher level of “diet”: the declared curb weight of the new version is only 1380 kg, while the Porsche 911 T on the «mechanics» weighs 1470 kg.

The Porsche 911 S/T offers a lot more power in addition: a 4.0-litre naturally aspirated 6-cylinder boxer borrowed from the 911 GT3 RS version produces a maximum of 525 hp. and 465 Nm. The gearbox is only a 6-speed “mechanics”, and the S/T version has a unique one, with “shortened” gear ratios and a lighter clutch. The engine is equipped with a single-mass flywheel lightened by 10.5 kg. The Porsche 911 S/T reaches its first 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of 300 km/h. jpg» />The laconic plumage of the Porsche 911 S/T body looks almost the same as the Porsche 911 GT3 Touring, but the “hood” (in this case, we mean the front trunk lid), roof, front fenders and doors are made of carbon fiber, and the ventilation grill at the stern has a special design and is decorated with an anniversary medallion.

Weight reduction also includes a carbon-fiber anti-roll bar in the rear suspension, a dismantled rear wheel steering system, a lightweight exhaust system, a lithium-ion battery, thinner windows, reduced noise insulation and magnesium wheels with a central nut fastened — 20-inch on the front axle and 21 -inch on the back. There are no rear seats in the cabin, but there is a carbon fiber roll cage, lightweight carbon fiber buckets with integral head restraints are installed in the front, door handles are replaced with straps.

Grey-blue color Shoreblue Metallic, like the car in the title photo, is designed specifically for the 911 S/T version, as is the white ceramic color for the wheels, which is part of the retrospective Heritage Design Package offered at an additional cost. The package also includes a serial number (from 0 to 99) on the doors, vintage emblems and special interior decor.

Porsche will only build 1963 911 S/Ts, minimum the price in Germany is 292,187 euros. For comparison, let's say that a 385-horsepower Porsche 911 T costs from 132,846 euros, a 510-horsepower Porsche 911 GT3 Touring — from 193,417 euros, a track-specific Porsche 911 GT3 RS — from 248,157 euros. In short, the Porsche 911 S/T is the choice of the collector or wealthy purist who likes to travel light.
