The miniature van looks friendlier, but the interior is almost completely new. The manufacturer has not yet spoken about the technique, but most likely it has switched from the previous model.
The Honda N-Box kei car debuted in 2011, the second generation was introduced in 2017, and the last restyling was carried out in 2020 (pictured in the first gallery). At home, the model is in high demand — it is the most popular car in the entire Japanese market. Thus, according to the results of six months of this year, N-Box was sold in Japan with a circulation of 112,248 copies (+8%). And now the third generation microvan has been announced.

There are no revolutionary changes in the exterior design, because Honda does not want to scare off buyers. From what catches the eye: a new grille with many holes instead of wide horizontal dies and round LED headlights, which, nevertheless, are placed in rectangular blocks. Well, the rear lights now have a clearer shape. The N-Box also received a special version of Fashion Style, its features are white mirrors and door handles, plus body-colored hubcaps in retro style.

The “youth” modification of the N-Box Custom also remained in the ranks, and, curiously, it now looks friendlier (previously they relied on “sports”). The features of this van are the original grille, head optics and bumpers, «transparent» lights. Black roof and wheels can be ordered for an additional fee for Custom.
Dimensions have not yet been announced. However, if they have changed, then only slightly, since the sizes are regulated by the key car segment. The length of the previous Honda N-Box is 3395 mm, the wheelbase is 2520 mm.

The «hump» in front of the driver is no more — the tidy has been moved lower, in addition, it is now digital. The shelf on the passenger side is now located above the air vents and the climate control unit, and not below them. For cars in branded photos, the front seats are made in the form of a single sofa, although the usual separate seats were also provided for the previous generation model. Honda also announced improved noise isolation.

The company kept silent about the technology, but it is most likely the same (still the same regulations for key cars). The “second” N-Box is equipped with a three-cylinder 660 cc engine, the atmospheric version of which produces 58 hp, and the turbocharged version produces 64 hp. The microvan is equipped with a CVT, front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.

To the Honda N-Box home market a new generation will be released in the fall. The ban on the supply of cars from Japan to the Russian Federation does not apply to kei cars (it applies to cars with an engine capacity of more than 1.9 liters), so, probably, over time, the “third” microvan will appear in the Far East.
