Porsche Macan next generation: new images

This week, fresh spy photos of a German crossover with almost no camouflage were published on the Web, which allow you to see all the features of the appearance of the novelty.

The compact crossover Macan of the first and only generation so far, built on the Audi Q5 platform, was first introduced at the end of 2013 at the Los Angeles International Auto Show. The name of the model comes from the Indonesian word «machan», which translates as «tiger». For almost 10 years, the SUV has received several updates, the most notable of which took place in the summer of 2018. Now the company continues to test the new generation Macan, and its appearance is already clearly visible due to the almost complete absence of disguise.

Render of the new Macan < p>Macan will retain the look characteristic of Porsche crossovers, while in proportion it will become much closer to the Cayenne Coupe model due to heavily littered rear pillars. The front part of the novelty will be original: this is the first Porsche with “two-story” optics. Above, in the usual place, there will be blocks with LED running lights, consisting of four horizontal strokes in each. These blocks are quite large and resemble the Taycan model, however, the main headlights with low and high beams will still be built into the bumper. On the side, you can note the preserved classic door handles for a “natural grip” and deep stampings at the bottom of the doors. As for the rear, it is designed in the corporate style of Porsche — the main motive here is set by a horizontal LED strip of marker lights, stretching across the entire width of the stern. An unusual element can be considered a windshield wiper on the rear window, which is not found in the Cayenne Coupe, which is similar in shape.

The new crossover will be built on the PPE (Premium Platform Electric) platform developed jointly with Audi. In the most powerful twin-engine modification, the Makan will develop more than 600 hp. and 1000 Nm of torque. For comparison, the power of the current Macan Turbo is 440 hp. (550 Nm).
