One lucky player has won the entire $1.58 billion Mega Millions jackpot.

Florida player wins $1.58 billion Mega Millions The Million Jackpot on Tuesday night ended a nearly four-month-long futile lottery in the US.

The winning numbers were: 13 19 20 32 33 and the yellow ball: 14.

Before the big win on Tuesday night, there have been 31 draws in a row since the last jackpot win on April 18th. This allowed the prize to grow steadily and become the third largest prize in US history.

Mega Million jackpot wins are so rare because of the 1 in 302.6 million chance.

The $1.58 billion payout will go to the winner if he will opt for an annuity issued for 30 years. But people generally prefer the lump sum option, which is valued at $783.3 million for Tuesday's jackpot.

The prize pool is subject to federal taxes. Many states also tax lottery winnings.

Mega Millions games are played in the 45 states, Washington DC, and the US Virgin Islands.
