General Motors Corporation unveiled its flagship electric SUV, the Cadillac Escalade IQ, which will hit the market next year with a 560 hp twin-engine powerplant kW (761 hp) and will be able to drive about 725 km on a single charge. The estimated price is from $130,000.
The Escalade IQ is the third in Cadillac's family of electric models, following the 5-seat Lyriq crossover and Celestiq luxury liftback, all built on the Ultium modular platform with 800-volt electrical architecture. Cadillac Escalade IQ is not a replacement, but an alternative to the «hydrocarbon» frame SUV Escalade. In terms of size, the electric SUV is comparable to the long-wheelbase gasoline ESV, but it looks less monumental and more aristocratic due to the dynamic silhouette with the C-pillars piled up. The Escalade IQ is 5697mm long, 2167mm wide, 1934mm high, and 3460mm wheelbase.
For the Escalade IQ, only one twin-engine power plant is currently announced (one motor per axle), its maximum output is 560 kW (761 hp) and 1064 Nm, the constant is 505 kW (687 hp) and 834 Nm. The floor-mounted battery capacity is 200 kWh, and the estimated range on a single charge is over 450 miles (724 km) on the EPA cycle. Up to 60 mph (96.56 km/h) Escalade IQ can accelerate in less than 5 seconds. Permissible trailer weight — 3628 kg.

The adaptive adjustable air suspension in the default position provides a ground clearance of 175 mm, but depending on the selected mode, it can be increased by 25 mm or reduced by 50 mm. The fully steerable chassis (this is one of the main «chips» of the Ultium platform) allows the crossover to move diagonally, which is very convenient when parking, the maximum angle of the rear wheels is 10 degrees. The Escalade IQ has a three-row salon, the process of folding the third row seats is fully electrified, the second row can be equipped with a triple sofa or two separate luxury chairs with a lot of adjustments, built-in massagers, folding tables, individual multimedia screens and other amenities. The microclimate is controlled by a separate screen on a wide central tunnel with two floors, the lower floor is a clothing niche upholstered in velvet with embroidery and illumination. There is almost no bare plastic in the finish, but there is a lot of leather and laser-etched wood panels. Production of the Cadillac Escalade IQ will begin next summer at GM Factory Zero in Detroit. The minimum price will be about $130,000, which is quite modest compared to the Celestiq liftback, which is aimed at competing with Rolls-Royce models and will cost, as it turned out the other day, from $340,000.
