Tottenham players must sign to start recovery from Harry Kane

With Harry Kane on the verge of joining Bayern Munich, Tottenham will spend £100m to rebuild a team whose mascot has been the England captain for a decade.

< p>There are only 22 days left until the end of the summer transfer window. , newly appointed head coach Anjou Postecoglou and the club's recruiting team will be tasked with bringing in new faces to replace what they have lost with Kane's impending departure.

Here's how they can spend the money:

Edmond Tapsoba (Bayer Leverkusen)

Despite the signing of Micky van de Ven last week from Wolfsburg, Postecoglou is still on the lookout for another centre-back to fill up his defense before the transfer deadline. Gleison Bremer (Juventus)

The Brazilian centre-back was wanted by Spurs before joining Juventus from Torino and his reputation has grown in a year at the club, a rare success in a difficult season for the club. He has recently insisted that he wants to stay at Juventus despite interest from the Premier League and he will certainly be an expensive signing, valued at over £50m. It would be the type of acquisition only possible with Kane's fee in the bank.

Midfield

Conor Gallagher (Chelsea)

The England midfielder is targeted by Spurs as a substitute if Pierre-Émile Hoybjerg leaves for Atlético Madrid, who has Danish national team player on their shortlist. Gallagher will be worth over £40m as he is homegrown and international but could be allowed to leave if Chelsea achieve their goals including Tyler Adams, Moises Caicedo and also Romeo Lavia.

The Brazilian midfielder was previously bid by Arsenal, who ended up signing Declan Rice. But that ambition shows just how highly respected he is in the Premier League following his time at Aston Villa, which followed a stint at Girona on loan from Manchester City. He adds energy to the midfield, but can also help control the game and could be an equal replacement for Hojbjerg.

Strikers

Romelu Lukaku (Chelsea)

It would be a sensational move given the bitter rivalry between the two clubs. But Lukaku is also a player with a wealth of experience in the Premier League and Europe, and his scoring performance has been proven in regular games. Chelsea didn't give him a team number, so he's available for a transfer. It adds presence to the front lines and gives Spurs' creative players a target to hit.

The Canadian striker has played for Lille have been in Ligue 1 for the last three years after starting his career at Gent in Belgium, where he also scored goals. His form has attracted clubs across Europe who expect him to keep scoring when he moves to England, Italy, Germany or Spain. He would still be a risky player considering he hasn't played in the Premier League, but the 23-year-old has huge potential.
