The production of the final batch of cars has begun, which will roll off the assembly line at the plant in Togliatti. It will have only 650 cars. Then the production of the model will be transferred to the Izhevsk site.
The basis of the Lada Largus station wagon and van is the old Dacia Logan MCV of the first generation. AvtoVAZ began producing Largus back in 2012, and this model experienced its first major update in 2021. The car was previously produced at the facilities of the company's Togliatti plant, but last spring its mass production was suspended due to a shortage of components. It should be noted that last summer Largus was additionally produced in a batch of 1.8 thousand copies, which was assembled from spare parts left in warehouses.
Now AvtoVAZ has started production of a new batch of Lada Largus at the facilities of the Togliatti enterprise. Recall that it was originally assumed that the company would resume production of the model in September of this year, then there was information that Largus would return to the assembly line in August. As it turned out, we are not yet talking about a full-fledged restoration of the mass production of the model, but about one more batch.

As noted in the VAZ press center, the next batch will include 650 Largus in various modifications . Production was resumed today, August 14th. It should be noted that the indicated total number will include, among other things, car kits for an experimental batch of completely “green” Lada e-Largus: according to the plan, these “trains” will be assembled at the plant in Izhevsk before the end of this year.
It has recently become known that the mass production of vans and station wagons Lada Largus will move to the Izhevsk enterprise. The transfer is scheduled to be completed in the second quarter of 2024. Within the framework of this project, several additional bodies will be produced in Tolyatti: in the future they will go to Izhevsk to set up technological equipment. «/>In the photo: station wagon Lada Largus Cross
AvtoVAZ noted that it was decided to move the production of Largus to Izhevsk due to plans to increase the production of Vesta family cars in Tolyatti (in the short term). In addition, Lada Aura cars addressed to budget organizations and regional officials will soon start rolling off the same assembly line. As previously reported, such an elongated Vesta will cost about 2 million rubles. In addition, another crossover on the Vesta platform will be launched on the Togliatti line No. 1. the manufacturer explained that the time it takes for Largus to move to the Izhevsk plant, Russian suppliers will be able to spend on “mastering an additional range of components”, which will increase the degree of its localization. Earlier, the president of AvtoVAZ, Maxim Sokolov, noted that problems with components persist, as more than a thousand components are supplied from abroad. jpg» />In the photo: Lada Largus Cross showroom
Recall that at the end of last week it became known that AvtoVAZ was going to partially rewrite the price lists: at the same time, they want to keep the price tags for the starting versions of Lada models (for example, they promised that the cost of the base Granta sedan will remain less than 700 thousand rubles), but the top-end configurations may rise in price. Exactly how much has not yet been reported.
