All versions of the passenger truck have had a slightly tweaked face, and rich versions have other new things. The engine range is the same.
The Fiat brand continues to update its Brazilian lineup: following the Fastback cross-coupe and the Strada compact pickup, the older Toro truck has moved into the 2024 model year. Recall that Toro, 4.9 meters long, has been in service since 2016, the model has a monocoque body and the main front-wheel drive, it is built on a stretched version of the Small Wide 4 × 4 platform, which also underlies the Jeep Compass and Commander crossovers. This pickup experienced a full restyling in 2021, while the current modernization turned out to be quite modest.

All versions of the Fiat Toro now have an enlarged grille with a larger Fiat lettering on it, whereas previously only the top versions of the Ranch and Ultra had such a shape and emblem. The base Toro Endurance has unpainted matte plastic on the nose, the next-highest trim Freedom sports a glossy black grille, and the slightly richer Toro Volcano has chrome trim. In addition, on the wheel arches of “simple” pickups (in all three versions listed above) appeared plastic pads with a notch (they were solid).

For the Fiat Toro Freedom-2024, a navigator is now provided for an extra charge, and the Toro Volcano-2024 received a more advanced multimedia system, plus an optional “black” design package was updated for the latest version (a dark grille instead of a shiny one). The expensive Toro Ranch and Toro Ultra have brown and red stripes added to the top of the grill frame, respectively. And these trim levels got wheels of a new design. Top-of-the-line pickups still have auto-brake systems, automatic headlight switching and lane departure warning. Ultra's own feature (before it was) is a hard cover for the cargo bed.
Fiat Toro Ranch-2024
All equipment is the same. In the Endurance, Freedom and Volcano versions, the pickup is equipped with a 1.3 Turbo 270 Flex turbo engine, which produces 180 hp on gasoline, and 185 hp on ethanol common in Brazil. This engine is paired with a six-speed automatic. The Fiat Toro Volcano can also be purchased with the 2.0 MultiJet II turbodiesel (170 hp) in combination with 9 automatic transmissions, and this is the only pair put on the top Ranch and Ultra. Versions with 1.3 have front-wheel drive, diesel pickups have all-wheel drive by default. By the way, the Toro used to have a dual-fuel 1.8 EtorQ engine (135/139 hp, gasoline/ethanol), but it was abandoned a long time ago.

About $30,500 – $43,000 are asked for the Fiat Toro-2024. Later, refreshed Brazilian-made pickups will reach other Latin American countries. Toro still has a brother under the Ram brand, but it is not yet known if this pickup will receive new clothes.
