Manchester United's Thun then celebrated boisterously with her England teammates and fulfilled that promise to her friends who were all painted ahead of the Down Under tournament. Tun's friends asked her to kiss the markings and make a heart sign with her hands, and she duly complied as England moved forward.
«I got a tattoo with my friends at home and they made me kiss it and have a heartfelt celebration,» she said. “It was for them, I immediately thought of it, probably because they reminded me before every game so that I would not forget. This is a very small and delicate tattoo. It will also be my first and last.”

Her lightning-fast goal shortly before half-time in the last four match at the stadium in Sydney, Australia was the first time she had scored in a World Cup and a second-half goal from Lauren Hemp. and Alessia Russo sealed England's spot in the final on Sunday.
Earlier at the tournament, she told BBC Radio 5 Live how she would celebrate: if I remove it. Usually (with celebrations) anything happens.
«But I follow strict orders from my comrades. We all got the same tattoos before I left (for Australia). They want me to kiss him and made a little love heart.I promised them that I would do it.»
Thuna was required to perform in this match after several poor performances in Australia, but when the ball fell towards her in the box, she hit it with such force that Matilda goalkeeper Mackenzie Arnold could not stop him.

Score a goal in this match against the tournament's co-hosts means that Thun, following Linda Curl and Kelly Smith, becomes only the third player to score in both a major tournament final and a semi-final for England.
Former England international Rachel Brown Finnis told the BBC: «Great game, good build from England. How about this — kick through the ball. Top baskets, side net.
«This is a way to respond to any criticism of Ella Thun at this tournament, I'm happy for her.»
