The Danish company Zenvo Automotive has unveiled the second all-new model in its history, the Aurora hybrid supercar (not to be confused with the Oldsmobile Aurora sedan from the middle 90s of the last century), it has a very sophisticated technical stuffing and a crazy price tag of 3.6 million euros. ST1 and its derivatives. Aurora has nothing in common with them, except for the brand and the chief designer — both models were «drawn» by the Dane Christian Brandt. The Aurora is based on the new ZM1 platform with a carbon monocoque core.

The carbon-fiber subframes to which the suspensions and elements of the power plant are attached are integrated into the monocoque, all the outer plumage is also made of carbon fiber, and the plumage is rather meager — the Aurora has huge “holes” in front and behind, through which the openwork suspension of the push-rod type on double transverse levers «in a circle». 70% of the supporting structure is not covered by anything, its weight is only 120 kg, torsional rigidity is an impressive 63,000 Nm/deg. For comparison, let's say that the conceptually close Lamborghini Revuelto has a body rigidity of «only» 40,000 Nm/deg.

At the heart of the Zenvo Aurora is a 6.6-litre V12 petrol engine with 90-degree camber angle and dry sump lubrication, developed from the ground up with the help of British engineering company Mahle Powertrain (a wholly owned subsidiary of the German automotive parts manufacturer Mahle GmbH). The engine, named Mjolner (translated into Russian as «Thor's hammer»), is equipped with four low-inertia turbochargers in the collapse of the block — with their help, the developers wanted to achieve external speed characteristics, like atmospheric engines. The maximum speed is 9800 rpm! Maximum return — 1267 hp and 1400 Nm.

Gearbox — 7-speed «robot» with a 150 kW (204 hp) electric motor implanted in it, this electric motor not only helps the gasoline engine during acceleration, but also acts as a starter, and is also responsible for reversing, a separate there is no reverse gear in the box. All power from the internal combustion engine is sent to the rear wheels via an electronically controlled limited-slip differential.
Zenvo Aurora will be offered in two versions — Agil (red car in the illustrations) and Tur (turquoise car), both can go on public roads, but Agil is more track-oriented, has a more developed aerodynamic plumage (it gives 880 kg of download at a speed of 250 km/h) and ascetic interior trim, and Tur is positioned as a tourist model — it has a more «slick» body and a lot of genuine leather in the cabin.

Aurora Agil weighs only 1300 kg, accelerates to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and up to a maximum of 365 km/h.
The Aurora Tur adds two individual electric motors to the front axle, producing 150 kW (204 hp) each, giving it all-wheel drive. The maximum cumulative output of the Aurora Tur power plant is 1876 hp. and 1700 Nm, acceleration to “hundreds” takes 2.3 s, top speed is 450 km/h. The touring version has a curb weight of 1450 kg.
All-wheel drive will be available as an option for the Aurora Agil, but this version will still have its own chassis settings and more aggressive aerodynamics.
The capacity, type, and location of the battery are not disclosed, but it is reported that a full charge will last for 35 km in electric mode. Both versions are equipped with powerful carbon-ceramic brakes and lightweight magnesium alloy wheels with a central locking nut, stock tires are Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 or Cup 2R in 265/35 R 20 front and 325/30 R 21 rear.

Zenvo is going to produce only 100 copies of the Aurora supercar — 50 in the performance of Agil and 50 in the performance of Tur, the start of production is scheduled for 2025.
