The production version of the Japanese brand's SUV is expected in 2025, but for now the concept with the addition of Monograph has debuted.
The release of the full-size Infiniti SUV started in 2004, it was originally called the QX56. The model was based on the F-Alpha platform, which was also the basis of the first generation Nissan Armada sister SUV. The large SUV changed generations in 2010, and it survived restyling in 2014 and changed its name at the same time. Since then, the SUV has been sold under the name QX80. Now the company is developing a third-generation model, its forerunner was the Infiniti QX Monograph concept.

The premiere of the full-size SUV show car was held as part of Monterey Car Week. So far, the manufacturer has limited itself to demonstrating the appearance of the concept, the interior and equipment have remained a secret. The concept has different proportions (compared to the current SUV), a flat roof, a spoiler on top of the almost vertical tailgate. The Infiniti QX Monograph also received a different form of side glazing, frameless doors, black pillars and a top, which created the effect of a floating roof. jpg» />Despite visual changes, in general, the models left «squared» lines, although the exterior looks more modern. The front part was decorated with a new very large grille with a herringbone pattern, in the center there is a large logo of the brand illuminated along the inner contour. The QX Monograph concept also received a “two-story” head optics, where LED running lights are on top, and below are the main headlight units. At the bottom of the front bumper is a simple air intake with a pattern of frequent horizontal stripes.
The lights of the show car are made in a single strip that runs through the entire width of the fifth door and goes to the rear fenders. The lighting is made under the «keys of a digital piano». Under this element is the name of the brand, written in large letters. At the bottom of the rear bumper of the QX Monograph, a pair of wide rectangular exhaust pipes are visible. The concept SUV received a panoramic roof and alloy wheels that combine matt chrome, gloss black and red accents.

As we have already noted, the manufacturer decided to keep the interior of the show car a secret. It is expected that the new generation QX80 may receive a large horizontal 24-inch display, which will combine a 12-inch digital instrument cluster and the same size touchscreen infotainment system. Also in the cabin, there will probably be a touch-sensitive air conditioning control unit and more space for third-row passengers.
