However, not all previous design solutions have been used, and there are still new things on the outside. The list of equipment has also been expanded, but the equipment has not been touched.
The three-row SUV, which Chevrolet considers the second-generation Captiva, debuted in 2018. The model is a clone of the “Chinese” Baojun 530 (Baojun is a joint project of General Motors and SAIC concerns), it is sold in Latin America and the Middle East. In 2020, a restyled Captiva was introduced, and the first market for it was Mexico (but in 2021), where the pre-reform SUV was not available at all. By the way, buyers liked the crossover there: according to the results of 2022, it took the tenth place in the ranking of the most popular models (19,178 units), overtaking Kia Seltos (17,137 units), Chevrolet Tracker (17,060 units) and Toyota RAV4 (12,074 pieces). And now the Chevrolet Captiva was upgraded once again, and again the Mexicans were the first to get a refreshed cross.

The most interesting thing is that the cross has partially returned to the design of the Captiva sample of 2018 (scroll through the top gallery). So, on the front bumper there is again an insert with “horseshoes” on the sides that frame the main headlight blocks, the radiator grille and diode running lights located on top also took on the same shape, and a long reflective strip reappeared on the rear bumper. However, let's not forget that the original Chevy SUV was not sold in Mexico, so such a look is new there. Yes, and there are still fresh solutions: these are darkened chrome, new taillight filling and other 18-inch wheels. The palette of body colors has also been expanded.

The interior is the same, except that the inserts on the front panel are now made of perforated «leather». All 2024 Captiva trims have six airbags (previously they were only for the top version, the rest of the versions had four airbags), the list of standard equipment still includes a multimedia system with a vertical tablet and cruise control. New items for the most expensive version of Premier — climate control instead of air conditioning and a surround camera. As before, the crossover is available with five or seven seats.
