Updated Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Max reached the Russian Federation: now it's official

Refreshed seven-seat crossovers of the Chinese brand will appear in Russian dealers before the end of the third quarter of this year.

The Chery Tiggo 8 crossover appeared in 2018, over the past years it has had many varieties that differ not only in additions to the name, but also in design and technology. For example, four modifications are currently presented on the Russian market. Now, the local Chery office has officially announced the appearance of an updated version of the crossover, which is sold in the Russian Federation under the name Tiggo 8 Pro Max. Recall that this car was launched in Malaysia at the beginning of last month (under the name Tiggo 8 Pro).

According to the company, the cars will reach Russian dealers by the end of the third quarter of this year.The updated Tiggo 8 Pro Max grille has a different pattern — it is made of shiny diamonds instead of «dots». In the center of the «grill» is a large illuminated Chery logo. The stern was refreshed due to the rear lights designed in the form of a single die: they are designed in the same way for the Pro version for China (however, the front of the Tiggo 8 Pro looks different, such versions are not yet exported).

In the cabin, the front panel was corrected, there was a large horizontal display, which received a curved shape. It combines both a virtual tidy and a touchscreen infotainment system; the diagonal of each is 12.3 inches. In addition, the updated crossover has a different design and layout of the control levers in the center console and tunnel, and also has touch-sensitive buttons for controlling the climate control system and turning off the multimedia system.

The equipment of the updated crossovers supplied to Russia has remained the same as that of the current local Max. So under the hood of the refreshed Tiggo 8 Pro Max is a 2.0-liter TGDI turbo four with a capacity of 197 hp, the maximum torque is 375 Nm. The engine comes with a seven-speed DCT robot with two clutches. Max in Russia is available only with all-wheel drive.
