The German brand's novelty will have both a hybrid and an all-electric «stuffing». The new CLA will hit the market in 2025.
Mercedes-Benz has been producing CLA since 2013, the model changed generation in 2019. At the beginning of this year, the sedan and station wagon underwent restyling. Recall that in the course of updating the four- and five-doors, they received a proprietary radiator grille of the same shape, but with a pattern in the form of small three-beam stars, a different front bumper with other air intakes in the lower part, LED optics with a newly designed line of daytime running lights. The cars were also equipped with new original wheels, and the stern got a new light pattern for the lights.

Currently, the German manufacturer continues to develop the third generation CLA. Prototypes of the future novelty are now being tested on public roads: at the end of last month, we published a batch of fresh pictures of a disguised hybrid sedan. Based on these photos, the designer of the Spanish publication Motor.es created a render image of the next generation Mercedes-Benz CLA.
Judging by the image, the silhouette of the sedan will remain almost the same: a sloping roof and a rear window with a solid slope smoothly into the trunk lid. The windshield also has a solid slope, due to which the car looks sportier. The artist left the sedan expressive stampings on the hood, and also provided it with new triangular-shaped headlights with thin stripes of running lights running along the top edge.

The image shows that the headlights are interconnected by a luminous strip that runs through the entire width of the front along the edge of the plug in place of the traditional grille (on the render — a completely «green» version). In the center of the plug there is a large logo of the brand, from which branded small three-beam stars diverge in semicircles. The lower part of the front bumper integrates the central and a pair of side air intakes, decorated with black plastic elements and a chrome strip.
It is possible that the hybrid version of the new CLA will have a more recognizable family grille, closer to the grill of the current version. It is expected that the lights on the next sedan will also have a different shape, but they will probably still go on the trunk lid. sedanIt is assumed that the interior of the «third» Mercedes-Benz CLA will be «revolutionary». According to the publication, the front panel can be turned into a large screen that combines three displays — a virtual instrument panel, a central touchscreen of the modern MBUX infotainment system, and a touch screen for the front passenger. The German manufacturer uses similar solutions even now, however, they can be found in older models, and in top trim levels.
According to preliminary data, the hybrid version of the new CLA will be responsible for the movement of the front wheels an electric motor, while a gasoline engine will be connected additionally to increase power. There is little even preliminary information about the technique of all-electric modification. It is expected that the novelty will receive a pair of batteries with a capacity of up to 100 kWh, the basic version of the power reserve on a single charge can be up to 650 km, the top version — up to 850 km. The next generation Mercedes-Benz CLA will enter the European market in spring 2025.
