Fifteen Eleven Design in Bakewell, Derbyshire, England, has breathed new life into the classic Porsche 914 mid-engined sports car: a modern engine, Porsche Cayman suspension and an upgraded body with carbon fiber exterior panels.
Developed in the second half of the 60s, the Porsche 914 targa sports car turned out to be one of the most commercially unsuccessful Porsche models: it was originally developed as a joint project between Porsche and Volkswagen and was supposed to be sold under two brands, but Volkswagen eventually abandoned this car , and for one Porsche company, the 914 project turned out to be too complicated and expensive to manufacture with rather modest technical characteristics. Nevertheless, today the Porsche 914 is considered one of the best examples of automotive design of the late 60s and early 70s, the interest of collectors in it is great, so the restoration workshop Fifteen Eleven Design decided that the restomod based on the Porsche 914 would be a success.

Fifteen Eleven Design is a subdivision of the Mellors Elliot Motorsport rally racing team, whose rich engineering experience was very useful in the development of the restomod, which lasted almost three years. From the original Porsche 914, the body skeleton and some interior details remained in the restomod, while the skeleton was completely restored and reinforced with a tubular frame, and all the outer skin was new, it was made of carbon fiber. The wheel arches were widened, air intakes appeared in the rear fenders, the design of the bumpers and the front trunk lid was changed, the stern received a ducktail spoiler, a completely new LED lighting technology was installed, and there are no more retractable headlights.
The chassis for the restomod is borrowed from the 987.2 generation Porsche Cayman S coupe, which was produced from 2009 to 2013, and Reiger adjustable shock absorbers have been added to it. The weak stock engine has been replaced with a modified 3.8-liter flat-six Porsche with forged pistons, a Life Racing control unit and a custom stainless steel exhaust system. The maximum power, depending on the settings, is 385-405 hp. Gearbox — 6-speed «mechanics». The stock brakes have been replaced with new perforated Porsche Brembo discs with 4-piston calipers. Classic 18″ Fuchs wheels wrapped in modern Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tires.

The interior is completely redone with leather and suede, a new three-spoke steering wheel, AP Racing pedals and Recaro buckets are installed, the design of the central tunnel is changed, the high-mounted gear lever is topped with the signature Fifteen Eleven wooden knob. The new FIA-compliant fuel tank has increased legroom.

The price of the restomod is from £350,000, the color scheme can be anything and is limited only by the customer's imagination.
