On August 31, in the pavilion of the Museum of Transport of Moscow «Transport of the USSR» at VDNKh, an open day for Avito Auto will be held. Under the terms of the action, everyone will be able to freely visit the exhibition “You are here. Always. Today. The Day After Tomorrow” throughout the day, having received a “Friend of the Museum” ticket at the box office. At the exhibition, you can get acquainted with futuristic prototypes of transport, among which is the installation of an unmanned vehicle developed jointly with Avito Auto. The transparent full-size concept car represents a safe car buying experience today and into the future. For young visitors, there will be free master classes on registering on the museum website.
The digital experience of car buyers is growing every year. Large-scale exhibition “You are here. Always. Today. The Day After Tomorrow tells how a person, a citizen and a passenger, and his needs became the center of changes in the transport environment and the city.
Acquaintance with the exhibition begins in the historical portico of the pavilion, where visitors are greeted by a total installation «Time Machine». In the exhibition halls, guests are waiting for the projects of the Soviet experimental group NER (New Element of Settlement), which turned the idea of urban planning around the world, the work of «paper architects», which become the key to understanding the main changes in the transport paradigm in our time.
A multimedia journey through the city of the future can be made in the third hall of the exhibition, where a model of the Avito Auto unmanned vehicle is presented. A futuristic full-size mock-up of the car was created especially for the exhibition, and allows visitors to literally feel like a passenger of the future and learn how modern products of the online platform will help make the car buying experience completely safe today and in the future.

The Unexpected Past Zonededicated to the first humanistic thoughts of architects about a comfortable environment in the city. Visitors will be presented with three architectural phenomena of urban reorganization that were not implemented, but influenced the formation of urbanism and the architectural appearance of Moscow in the second half of the 20th century. These are the concepts of young Moscow architects of the last century, the NER group who turned the world architectural paradigm upside down, the large-scale layout of the Sibstream project — a linear city from St. Petersburg to Vladivostok — and the work of «paper architects» who dreamed of moving sidewalks, offered highly functional bridges kilometer bus stops. Guests of the exhibition will see originals and copies of works by Alexander Brodsky, Alexander Zosimov, Yuri Kuzin, Yuri Avvakumov, Ilya Utkin and others. 1/8

«Actual Present»will show what changes have taken place in Moscow transport over the past ten years. How transport has become comfortable, fast and environmentally friendly, how the sharing economy works in transport, and what other innovations in the transport system bring us closer to merging with the city. A large-scale 32-meter timeline will help visitors remember the main milestones in the development of transport in the city. Vivid examples of change will be highlighted by sculptures, drawings and other works of art created by contemporary artists. And guests will be able to get acquainted with one of the most ambitious transport projects in Moscow in the total installation “You are here”, dedicated to the rail frame.

Third exhibition area, Expected Future, will present to visitors technologies and innovations that can be integrated into the city's transport system by 2035. Guests of the exhibition will be able to take a multimedia journey through the city of the future. Each route is unique and built according to the wishes of the «passenger».

The Autonomous Car» installation will tell about the city car and the automotive experience of the future, developed jointly with the largest Russian automotive platform Avito Auto. The shape of the car is an homage to the futuristic shapes of the concept car of the 80s. Smooth forms of the interior, adaptability to the travel format turn the salon into a comfortable living room, where you can have breakfast on the way to work or hold a meeting. The car model of the future will meet the principles of ecological production and operation, the interior and body parts can be easily replaced depending on the desire of the owner. The desire of mass production to meet the needs of the individual customer experience in the future will be a welcome addition. This not only conveys the message that transactions on the Avito platform are transparent, but also highlights the security of the transport of the future: when automating the entire transport, the probability of damage to it tends to zero.

The Museum of Transport of Moscow is an open urban space and a living research center that answers the important question: what drives Moscow?
The museum funds contain more than 250 cars and trucks, taxis, buses, trolleybuses, vehicles of city services , bicycles and motorcycles.
Exhibits of the museum's collection can be seen at exhibition projects, as well as on the transport infrastructure of the city. At the end of 2024, the permanent exhibition of the museum will be placed in the garage of the architect Konstantin Melnikov at 27 Novoryazanskaya Street. Now the architectural monument of the Soviet avant-garde is under restoration. It will be restored to its historical appearance.
