Exeed announced a hybrid for the Russian Federation: perhaps it will be an LX crossover

As explained in the Russian office, an electrified version of the «stuffing» will appear in one of the current models of the Chinese brand.

< p> The Exeed brand, which appeared in 2017, belongs to the Chinese company Chery. One of the export markets of the brand is the Russian Federation: the local lineup today includes four models — a compact LX SUV, a mid-size TLX, a full-size VX crossover, and an RX cross-coupe. Now the Russian office has announced the appearance of a hybrid: it is known that a car with an electrified «stuffing» will appear at the beginning of next year.

The local division of Exeed said that «the technological update will affect one of the brand's current models,» although they did not specify which one. To date, only one brand hybrid is sold in China — Exeed LX has such a modification, although it is quite possible that the range will be expanded.

Recall that in the home market, the Exeed LX crossover experienced a full-fledged restyling at the end of October last year (it is worth noting that cars of the 2021 model are delivered to the Russian Federation). In China, the SUV is available with gasoline engines, as well as with a rechargeable hybrid unit, which is based on a 1.5-liter TCI turbo four with 156 hp. (maximum torque is 230 Nm).

The gasoline engine works in tandem with a 170-horsepower electric motor (315 Nm), and the total power of the installation is 326 hp. and 545 Nm. This system also includes a traction battery with a capacity of 19.3 kWh. The power reserve on one charge when driving only on electric traction is 80 km (the calculation was carried out according to the WLTC cycle). A DHT gearbox developed by Chery is offered as a pair. The Exeed LX hybrid takes seven seconds to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h and has a top speed of 180 km/h.

In the Russian market, the LX compact crossover is available with front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. In the first case, under the hood is a 1.5-liter turbo engine SQRE4T15C, in the local specification, its output is 147 hp, and the maximum torque is 210 Nm. This engine is paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission.

The all-wheel drive SUV (Kolesa.ru has already conducted a test drive of such an Exeed LX) in the Russian Federation is equipped with a SQRF4J16 petrol turbo four (the same engine is included in the TXL mid-size crossover line). The volume of the engine is 1.6 liters, the power is 150 hp, and the maximum torque is 275 Nm. It comes with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Both engines in Russia are «powered» by AI-92.

As noted by the local office of the company , according to the plan, the “hybrid series of cars” will be introduced to the Russian market in the first quarter of 2024. It is possible that this installation will appear in several related Exeed models.

Recently it became known that Exeed will bring a large Exlantix E03 sedan to Russia. It is expected that all-electric novelty will appear early next year. In the homeland of the brand, this model will have several versions: rear-wheel drive with a capacity of 252 and 313 hp, as well as an all-wheel drive version, the total system output of which is 480 hp.
