Almost all Grants will soon be available with higher eco standard motors. Other Ladas will be transferred to Euro-5 next.
Last year, after the start of the well-known events and the subsequent sanctions restrictions, AVTOVAZ was forced to switch to the production of cars with engines of the Euro-2 environmental standard. Now the company is returning to Euro-5. Officially announced that the production of cars with higher eco-class engines will start on September 1.
The first Lada, which will again comply with Euro-5, will be Granta, and these will be both modifications of the 1.6 engine (8- or 16-valve, 90 or 106 hp) and all versions of the model available for purchase today: sedan, liftback , a cross-station wagon and a «sported» version of Drive Active. By the way, according to the press service of AVTOVAZ, «new calibrations and engine control units have been developed in Russia, which strengthens the technological sovereignty of Lada.» The manufacturer also stated that the machines «passed a full cycle of tests in various temperatures, mountain tests, tests for electromagnetic compatibility, etc.»
1/2 90-horsepower engine that meets Euro- 5, starts at 784,900 rubles: the Classic package with a driver's airbag, ABS, ERA-Glonass system, audio preparation, heating and electric mirrors will cost this amount. Model with 106 hp Euro-5 engine. costs from 925,900 rubles (Comfort version with two airbags and an audio system).
At the same time, AVTOVAZ announced that the price «for the basic, most localized and affordable Granta package» does not change, it is “less than 700 thousand rubles”: apparently, we are talking about a Grant with a Euro-2 engine.
The rest of the Lada models will also subsequently be transferred to Euro-5, AVTOVAZ will inform about their release separately.
