Brentford belatedly bid on Nottingham Forest striker Brennan Johnson after making a club-record £40m offer.< /p>
Johnson is set to move this week, Tottenham Hotspur are also in talks to sign the Welsh international, but Brentford have stepped up their longtime interest with a third bid in this transfer window.
