The transfer window closes Friday at 11pm and Premier League clubs race against time to change their players – some unwanted, some in need of relocation.

Telegraph Sport have selected 22 players to watch in the final days of the window to jump-start or revitalize their careers.

    Manchester UnitedHarry Maguire

No one can question his dedication to United after playing with broken ribs as captain last season, a role he took very seriously. But he will also be aware of England manager Gareth Southgate's comments on regular games. His problem will be the hefty salary he will receive at Old Trafford.

    Donny van de Beek

The Dutch midfielder has been suffering from injuries since his move from Ajax three years ago. Even his attempt to start his Premier League career on loan at Everton last season ended in injury disappointment. Real Sociedad have shown interest this summer, but United are believed to prefer a permanent deal.

    Dean Henderson

Erik ten Hag has signed Andre Onana from Inter Milan to become his main goalkeeper despite a shaky the beginning of his career at Old Trafford. Henderson, who has ambitions for England, has been cleared to undergo a medical at Crystal Palace which, if passed, would allow him to play regularly under Roy Hodgson.

    Anthony Martial

The 27-year-old France striker has never fully lived up to the promise he made in the beginning after his shock move from Monaco in 2015. the striker is back in full form.

Wanted by West Ham in the early summer before they turned their attention to Edson Alvarez. United were looking for a defensive midfielder in the final week of the summer transfer window, indicating McTominay's position under Ten Hag. Linked to Bayern Munich, which would be a wonderful change of fortune.

    Mason Greenwood

The rape and assault charges against Greenwood have been dropped, but he will leave Manchester United in a mutual agreement that was reached after a six-month internal investigation. into his behaviour. United are working with the player's family to find the right club for him to continue his career away from United.

    ArsenalRob Holding

At the start of the season, he was not in the squad under Mikel Arteta, suggesting that he may be allowed to leave. In previous seasons, Newcastle targeted him, but the move never materialised. Arsenal need to consider if they need him after Jurien Timber's injury and Kieran Tierney's loan to Real Sociedad.

    Albert Sambi Lokonga

Vincent Kompany once compared him to Yaya Toure, such is Lokonga's potential in central midfield. The Burnley manager, who coached the 23-year-old at Anderlecht, was previously in talks for a deal with him, but he is still available in recent days as he struggled for regular games under Arteta.

    Soares

Loaned to Fulham last season but they have set their sights on other full-backs this summer, meaning Soares is looking for another club while in the final year of his Emirates contract. The Euro 2016 winner Portugal international has not held a permanent position at Arsenal or Inter Milan since leaving Southampton.

    Nicolas Pepe

The arrival of Declan Rice meant the title of Arsenal's most expensive player. was suspended after hanging heavily around his neck since arriving from Lille in 2019 on a £72m deal. Loaned to Nice last season, Arteta left without being part of the Ivory Coast striker's plans.

Never agreed after Chelsea won the bidding war by beating Manchester City to sign the Spanish left-back for £60m. His start at Stamford Bridge was not helped by burglars targeting his house, as reported by the Telegraph Sport, and his poor form led to him being mocked by fans. Manchester United are looking for a left-back and he seems like a good fit.

    Callum Hudson-Odoi

He was chased by Bayern Munich early in his career and broke into the England squad but suffered a serious Achilles injury and then struggled for his place under Frank Lampard and Thomas Tuchel. Bayer Leverkusen signed him on loan and Fulham and Nottingham Forest are interested in him this summer.

Al Ittihad, a Saudi professional league team led by former Tottenham manager Nuno Espirito Santo, is interested in the defender. but he certainly needs to play in the Premier League, where he is in full view of Southgate and making his way back into the England squad. His form kept him in contention for a place in the World Cup last season.

    Manchester CityCole Palmer

Earlier summer, Brighton made an offer of around £30m for the England under-21 striker, but the deal failed did not take place. West Ham also looked at him, but signed Mohammed Kudus. Palmer is in excellent form for City but is not guaranteed a regular start and needs to play.

    James McAtee

Sheffield United are interested in bringing back Salford Silva after his loan spell last season, when he helped Bramall Lane secure promotion to the Premier League. But Wolverhampton are also eyeing him, as are Leicester City in the Championship. McAtee is one of the hottest loans of the summer.

Tottenham Hotspur were in the lead in pursuit of the Wales striker, but Brentford, whose offer had previously been turned down, joined them. West Ham also showed interest before focusing on Kudus. Johnson is expected to cost around £45m and Spurs are considering their attacking options after Harry Kane's departure.

    Tottenham, Pierre-Emile Houbjerg

The topic of interest from Manchester United is late in the window as they look to sign a defender. midfielder. The Danish international has a wealth of experience in the Premier League and knows how to play in midfield to lead his team forward. Previously, Atlético Madrid were interested in him: Spurs were eyeing Conor Gallagher from Chelsea if they lose their player.

    Davinson Sanchez

Spartak Moscow's offer earlier this summer raised ethical questions about doing business with Russian teams. The deal fell through and Sanchez gained interest from French clubs, notably Monaco and Rennes. Could be used as a partial trade for other trades as his time expired after being booed by Spurs fans last season.

    Tangy Ndombele

In his current form, he remains the £53.8m Spurs record holder since the summer of 2019 from Lyon. Since then on loan to his old club, José Mourinho threw him under a bus for not running enough and then sent him to Napoli last season where he won the title. Spurs are waiting for him.

It's a much more difficult situation for Dyer as he is nearing the end of the last year of his contract and players in this situation rarely get loaned out. Gary Cahill, acting out of Chelsea loyalty, was one of the rare recent cases. He will be in the shop window, which will not benefit the Spurs. But the player needs games to break back into the England standings.

    WolvesMateus Nunez

Declining to train, he made it clear that he wants to move to Manchester City. City have never overpaid for players, despite their wealth, so Nunes should hope a compromise can be found. He would fit perfectly in Pep Guardiola's midfield as Kevin De Bruyne is injured.

Eddie Howe has made signing a left-back a priority over the past two weeks, having already solidified his midfield. And the arrival of Lewis Hall pushed Targett further down the pecking order. Last season Targett played well enough to be followed by Southgate, but now he is also behind Dan Burne.
