The Slovak company Patak Motors has begun preparations for the production of a two-seater roadster of its own design with a design in the style of the 20s of the last century, its minimum the price will be 16,900 euros.
Patak Motors, based in the Slovak town of Vrbov, was founded by entrepreneurs Andrej Hulala, Michal Vršek and Norbert Klement, who have experience in the auto industry and participation in auto racing. Patak Motors wants to produce a stylish, practical and affordable sports car for the city, its design concept was finally formed in 2020, the first prototype was ready in 2021, and now the main part of the development has been completed, preparations for production have begun, it will be set up at the facilities of the Czech company Evektor, known mainly for the production of light civil aircraft.
The Slovak sports car received the simple name Rodster (this is not a typo, there is no letter “a”), it belongs to the class of electric quadricycles L7e, which do not require modern passive and active safety systems — due to this, a relative simplicity of design and an affordable price are achieved. The overall length of the sports car is 3360 mm, width is 1395 mm, height is 1360 mm. Curb weight — 450 kg. The body has a frame-panel construction and a design in the style of racing cars of the 20s of the last century. The elastic elements of the front suspension are removed inside the body, all wheels are equipped with disc brakes, there is ABS.

The narrow two-seater cabin is trimmed with natural wood and synthetic leather. The standard equipment does not have a roof, and instead of a full windshield there is a short visor, but for an additional fee you can order high glass with a frame and a folding fabric top. Also available as an option will be a stove, heated seats, an audio system, a multimedia system with a touch screen, a rear view camera, parking sensors, wireless charging for a smartphone, improved finishing, a sports exhaust (for the version with an internal combustion engine) and much more — the company is planning a full-fledged configurator launch in December.

The petrol Patak Rodster at the pre-order stage costs from 16,900 euros; it will receive a single-cylinder four-stroke petrol engine with a power of 21 hp. paired with a CVT, stated acceleration to 50 km/h is 9 seconds, maximum speed is 125 km/h, fuel tank capacity is 35 liters.
The electric version Stage 1 costs from 22,900 euro, the only electric motor with a capacity of 21 hp. here it is installed on the rear axle, a battery with a capacity of 10 kWh is integrated into the floor of the body, its full charge is enough for 100 km, acceleration to 50 km/h takes 7 seconds, maximum speed is 130 km/h. The electric version of Stage 2 has a 20 kWh battery and a range of 250 km, other characteristics are the same as the Stage 1 version.

Patak Motors plans to begin shipping finished roadsters to customers in November next year, but as is often the case with startups, delivery times may be extended due to some unforeseen circumstances. To make a reservation, the company asks for a deposit of 500 euros.
