Team Europe regained the Ryder Cup title at Marco Simone Golf Club in Rome with a 16½-11½ victory over Team USA on Sunday.
Tommy Fleetwood beat Ricky Fowler's 3-1 win ultimately sealed what had looked like a win on Sunday. after Europe's 4-0 win in the foursome on Friday morning.
But who impressed the most and who underperformed?
Team EuropeJon Rahm
Amazing in three days. After Friday morning's win, his eagle on the 18th to save half a point in four-balls was a cash register. A brilliant shot over the bridge on the 10th capped a thrilling clash between two of the world's best players, in which he equalized. 9/10

Viktor Hovland
Monster. He was as good as anyone at this Ryder Cup. Scored 3.5 points out of a possible five as Luke Donald trusted him to play in every match. On Sunday he increased his lead to three by the sixth, on Sunday to four by the 12th, and then held on. 9/10

Justin Rose
The oldest player in this European team appeared immediately after that. making his way back into Sunday singles on the back nine. He had been impressive earlier, with a brilliant strike in the 18th minute to equalize through Max Homa and Wyndham Clarke. On Saturday he also took a scalp. 7½/10
Overall record: 1-1-1
His best Ryder Cup ever. Showed his strength of character on Sunday by playing a composed and calm game after the parking lot explosion on Saturday. After the despair at Whistling Slates, it was tears of joy this time with four points out of five. 8½/10

Matt Fitzpatrick
Slowed down a bit after a brilliant fourballs game on Friday. Shaky on Saturday and expressed some frustration at having to work in the back nine after losing the lead. A single point, but at least the Englishman has now broken his long Ryder Cup duck. 7½/10

Tyrrell Hatton
The beautiful bunker shot on Sunday 16th sent the crowd into raptures. As part of «Team Angry» along with Ram, he enjoyed the atmosphere for three days. A stunning Sunday to end a pleasant trip. Disappointed to sit in on Saturday afternoon, though. 8½/10

Ludwig Aberg
Looked like a rookie for the first time in three days on Sunday when he was first scared. Overall, though, it was a stunning first Ryder Cup for a player who only turned pro in June. Felt my first loss in Saturday's 4-man game after a record-breaking win on Saturday in 4-man play. 7½/10

Failed to offer much resistance in the singles after being beaten on the back nine as Europe went down by four points on Saturday. Fade into the background after successfully teaming up with Shane Lowry in Friday's foursome. 6/10

Nikolaj Hojgaard
After a promising start on Sunday, he fell to nine in singles. . There was a superb 47ft putt on Friday but the 22-year-old struggled throughout the weekend. Just half a point in his first Ryder Cup match. 6½/10

Shane Lowry
The Irishman has done enough this year to silence those who doubted his inclusion. Showed excellent touch from the bunker with birdie on the 16th during the singles bout. Combined well with newcomer Straka in the four on Friday. 8/10

Tommy Fleetwood
Sensational exit from bunker on the 9th and close Decisive victory on 17 date, and the celebration is already in full swing. She reveled in the glory, scoring three points in four matches. Awesome partnership with McIlroy. 8/10

Bob McIntyre
It's satisfying for him to win on Sunday after par on the 17th. He gradually grew in stature during the match and on Saturday he played solidly against Rose in four-balls. He won one and a half wins before beating Clark in the decisive match. 7½/10

Luke Donald (captain)
His choice was almost perfect. Rahm and Hovland, in particular, became pillars of the Ryder Cup for years to come. Also got the best out of McIlroy. 9/10
Team USAScottie Scheffler
Tears on Saturday after a terrible morning in the foursome, but he made some amends on Sunday, showing incredible resilience after Rahm came out of the block and opened fire. We failed to win a single match in three days. 6/10

Collin Morikawa
The 26-year-old played without a cap on the final day to quiet the noise surrounding Patrick Cantlay. Big disappointment: He lost both matches on Friday and lost to Hovland in singles. Victory with Burns in Saturday's fourball was the only positive, but it was blown away on Sunday. 6/10
Overall record: 1-3-0
Lost his first two matches against Xander Schauffele, but bounced back in style. The lack of a cap revealed furrowed brows, but Cantlay was stubborn and determined to beat both McIlroy and Rose. 8½/10

Sam Burns
Hot time on Friday and struggled to match McIlroy's quality on Sunday, but the man with the mullet deserves credit for his outstanding performance on Saturday. One point out of three for a surprise selection on Team USA. 6/10

Max Homa
A very impressive four-goal performance on Saturday, followed by a thrilling win over Fitzpatrick. After losing in Friday's foursome, he remained undefeated for the rest of the weekend. 8½/10

Brian Harman
The Open winner showed some of his form at Hoylake but after a poor performance on Friday he was unable to build on Saturday's improved form. However, he has done enough to hope this won't be his only Ryder Cup. 7/10

Brooks Koepka
Saturday is so terrible that LIV Rebel wins by 3& ;2 over Aberg only partially compensates for the match in which he failed to defeat the hecklers. Picked up just half a point in his two four-goal games. 5/10

Justin Thomas
Mysterious behavior on Sunday when he walked out without a cap but then kept gesturing with imaginary tips of his hat at the end of each hole. The victory made up for a bad start. A controversial choice given recent form, he was dropped from the first session of the foursomes. 7/10

Xander Schauffele
Recovered on Sunday after Højgaard birdied first. As a result, the victory by the 16th was comfortable. He lost to Rahm and Hatton in a foursome on Saturday. Pointless in three matches before singles. 7/10

Jordan Spieth
Bogey was 17th on Sunday when it became clear that the Ryder Cup leads the European tournament. way. We went through a hard Saturday, handing over glasses both in the morning and in the afternoon. Was excluded from the top four due to poor form in training. 5½/10
Overall result: 0-2-2
The body language was poor at times and he never looked like he was ready to seriously challenge Fleetwood. Will be disappointed by the lack of contribution, having been left on the sidelines after losing in Friday's morning foursome. 5/10

Wyndham Clark
US Open champion will regret proposing before match On Sunday, oil will “leak” from Europe. It is strange that he did not participate in any of the fours sessions, having performed well in four-ball. Well beaten by McIntyre on Sunday. 5/10

Zach Johnson (captain)
Dismissed rumors of locker room tension, but B Jordan Spieth made some sketchy decisions and poor advice Saturday as questions were raised about his judgment. 5/10
