Health bosses have been told to ditch an NHS training manual which told staff to tell patients their pronouns.
Health Secretary Steve Barclay has ordered the materials to be withdrawn due to outrage over the «ideological dogma» permeating the service.
A training module released by Health Education England says doctors, nurses and others staff should initiate conversations with patients by using their own pronoun.

Staff were encouraged to inform patients about pronouns such as he/him, she/her or they/them to create a “safe a space for transgender, non-binary, intersex and gender non-conforming people.”
Mr Barclay intervened and ordered the withdrawal of training materials, angered by the «woke agenda» being promoted in the public sector.
On Tuesday he used his speech at the Tory party conference to announce that trans women would banned from women's wards under plans to restore 'common sense' to the NHS.
The changes, which will be subject to consultation, will consider giving patients the right to know whether their doctor is transgender and to insist that intimate care be provided by someone of the same biological sex.

Helen Joyce, director of advocacy at campaign group Sex Matters, welcomed the shift.

The training manual was produced by Health Education England, the training and education organization which is now merging with NHS England.

On Tuesday, Mr Barclay called for a “relentless focus on patient outcomes” and prioritization of frontline resources.
“This does not mean spending huge sums of taxpayer money on diversity consultants or hiring overblown internal diversity and inclusion teams,” he said.
“And that doesn’t mean ignoring patient voices—especially women’s voices—when it comes to the importance of biological sex in healthcare.

Stonewall condemns plans
Home Secretary Suella Braverman backed the plans, telling reporters during a visit to Bolton: «There is no place for trans women on women's wards or indeed any safe space concerning biological women.
