The serial A6 e-tron station wagon was recently spotted for the first time by photo spies in testing, thanks to which we have the opportunity to evaluate what it will look like new.
In the spring of 2021, the Audi A6 e-tron concept liftback was presented at the Shanghai Auto Show, and a year later it was joined by a harbinger of a station wagon A6 e-tron Avant. Now the German company is preparing production versions of the models, as evidenced by photographs of camouflaged test samples. The sedan was the first to be tested, and we have already made renders of it. And in the middle of last month, a universal version was released for testing.

The new product will generally repeat last year’s concept, but there will be a number of noticeable differences. The car will receive “two-story” front optics: narrow running lights will be located in the upper part, and main light blocks are built into the bumper just below. Almost the same solution was previously used on several new BMW models, including the latest generation “Seven” and the updated X7 crossover. The station wagon will receive traditional side mirrors (however, an option with cameras instead of them as an option is not excluded) and key-type door handles. Another significant difference from the concept is the shape of the rear optics and the graphics of the LED lights. In addition, the new product is depicted on simpler serial disks, these are the ones with which the model is currently being tested.

Audi A6 Avant e-tron will be built on Volkswagen's PPE (Premium Platform Electric) platform, which is also used by the new crossover Q6 e-tron, presented exactly one month ago back. Their power plants may also be similar, although the full technical specifications of the Q6 e-tron have not yet been announced. The prototype is equipped with two electric motors with a total power of 375 hp. with a declared range of about 600 km according to the European WLTP cycle.
