The redesigned four-door is positioned as a separate model of the new “green” sub-brand. Such a sedan will be released on the domestic market in the near future.
This year, the Changan company's portfolio was supplemented by the Qiyuan sub-brand, created specifically for electrified models. The first-born was a large liftback with the index A07; it launched in China in September in the form of a hybrid and a full-fledged electric car. And soon local customers will be offered a second model – the Qiyuan A05 rechargeable hybrid sedan. The Ministry of Industry of the People's Republic of China leaked the four-door back in August, but now Changan itself arranged a test drive for journalists, simultaneously distributing branded photos.

Qiyuan A05 is not a completely new car. The Changan Lamore, which debuted in its homeland at the end of last year, received a hybrid installation, and a month ago the “traditional” sedan officially entered the Russian market (Kolesa.ru has already tested it, all the details are in our material). At the same time, the “five” has its own exterior design: the model got different bumpers, instead of a frameless radiator grille with numerous L-shaped elements, a smooth “nose” with a slot appeared. Well, we also replaced the emblems.
The length of the Qiyuan A05 is 4785 mm, which is 15 mm longer than the purely gasoline Changan Lamore. The height of the hybrid is 1460 mm versus 1440/1450 mm for the original sedan (depending on the version). The width and wheelbase of the cars are the same — 1840 and 2765 mm, respectively.
Inside, the “five” repeated the donor Changan, the only difference being the colors of the upholstery and finishing materials. Both sedans have a two-spoke steering wheel, a narrow instrument screen and a multimedia system with a vertical tablet.
According to preliminary data, the Changan Qiyuan A05 installation includes a 1.5 naturally aspirated petrol (110 hp) , electric motor and lithium iron phosphate battery. More details will appear after the full presentation.

In China, sales of the hybrid sedan will begin this year . Subsequently, the Qiyuan range will be supplemented by another liftback — A06, this is a variation of the Changan Uni-V model, which is familiar to Russians. But the parent company has not yet announced plans to bring the electrified brand beyond the domestic market.
