According to preliminary data, the serial “green” SUV will debut in a year. The first market should be India, then the new product will appear in other countries.
The world premiere of the Suzuki eVX concept electric car took place at the very beginning of this year at the Indian Auto Expo, and at the same time the company announced that the crossover would be reincarnated into a global commodity model. So now the prototype has been finalized, it has become closer to the assembly line: the updated version was presented in Tokyo at the Japan Mobility Show, and the interior was demonstrated there for the first time.

The eVX head optics have taken on more specific shapes, the rear lights have also become different, and regular mirrors have been installed instead of cameras, although the serial electrocross will certainly have larger housings. The rear bumper was also replaced, plus the brand emblems were moved higher (both front and rear). The dimensions are the same: length – 4300 mm, width – 1800 mm, height – 1600 mm. The brand did not disclose the wheelbase size; Suzuki only noted that it is “long.”

The interior is still typical for concepts, there is a steering wheel instead of the usual steering wheel, an unusual front panel with “encircling” air deflectors and sensors, and between the front seats there is a glossy “floating” console. Meanwhile, Suzuki has already started testing the cross; a test prototype was previously caught by spies. Judging by those spyshots, the production model will be left with a display, but these will be separate screens for the instrument panel and multimedia system, albeit under one glass (the concept has a single giant display).

It was announced that the updated Suzuki eVX has all-wheel drive: the company designated the system as EV4WD, but details about I haven’t shared the filling yet (obviously, the cross has two electric motors). There is also not a word about the battery of the converted SUV, but the power reserve is named — 500 km. For the concept shown in India, a battery capacity of 60 kWh and a range of 550 km were announced (the difference can be explained by the fact that for the very first show car the power reserve was measured according to the Indian standard).
