The new product from the German brand is expected to appear in 2025. It is possible that the all-electric version will have a range of about 900 km without recharging.
Mercedes-Benz has been producing its GLA compact crossover since 2013. So far, the smallest SUV in the German brand’s line has changed generation only once – in 2019. This “elevated” relative of the A-Class underwent an update recently, in the spring of this year. Then the models corrected their appearance due to a different front bumper with differently designed air intakes, a tweaked radiator grille and original design wheels. The SUV also received the latest version of the MBUX infotainment system, a different steering wheel, and an assistance system when maneuvering with a trailer.

Now the German company is already working on the third generation Mercedes-Benz GLA. Previously, a test mule had already been caught by spy photographers during road tests: then the new base was placed “in the body” of the current crossover. Motor.es believes that the “third” GLA will have both hybrid and fully electric versions, so that it will eventually replace the Mercedes-Benz EQA, so before the change of generations, this “green” SUV, which debuted in early 2021 , may not get there.
So far, the company has not talked about what the next generation Mercedes-Benz GLA will look like. The designer of the Spanish edition prepared his own version of the potential appearance of the future new product, and he decided to capture the fully electric version of the “third” SUV. It is expected that the new product will be longer and lower than the current compact SUV.
Render of the new generation Mercedes-Benz GLA < p>Judging by the rendering, the model will borrow a lot from its older, completely “green” brothers of the EQ family, in particular, we are talking about a laconic hood and semicircular side glazing. The front part received a plug in the form of a branded radiator grille with a large logo and a pattern of small three-pointed stars.
The future model also has visually simple head optics, which were equipped with a pattern of semicircles with inscribed figures again three-beam elements. A similar headlight design has already been demonstrated on the new generation Mercedes-Benz CLA concept all-electric sedan, which was presented last month.

The car in the render also has a body kit around the perimeter of the body made of unpainted plastic, black bodies traditional exterior mirrors with turn signal repeaters, retractable door handles and on the left front fender — a neat port for charging the traction battery.
As suggested in the publication, the first to enter the market will be fully electric versions of the third generation Mercedes-Benz GLA. They are expected to reach dealers in 2025. It is noted that SUVs will receive two batteries of different capacities and compositions, while one will allow you to travel about 700 km without recharging, the second – another 200 km (the total range on one charge will be about 900 km). It is expected that later the line will be replenished with a rechargeable hybrid, based on a gasoline engine. The model will have versions with both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive.
