Alan Mann Racing ePower Mustang: cool electric mod from the legendary racing team

The British racing team Alan Mann Racing (AMR) and the American company Mann ePower Cars presented the first model from the Alan Mann Legacy line of restomods – ePower Mustang electric coupe based on the 1965 pony car of the same name.

The history of Alan Mann Racing is closely connected with Ford and its models, it was this team that made two prototypes based on the mid-engined GT40 with lightweight bodies, which became an important milestone on the road to the triumph of the Ford factory team in 1966 at Le Mans. A special version of the latest generation Ford GT supercar was even named after Alan Mann Racing. The same team was one of the first to prepare the first generation Ford Mustang for racing and teach it to win. The founder of the team, Alan Mann, died in 2012, now it is run by his son Henry Mann. Today Alan Mann Racing is mainly engaged in the restoration and maintenance of old cars, preparing them for retro rallies and other similar events.

To make an electric mod, you need an original first-generation Ford Mustang, produced in the 60s before the first major restyling, it is disassembled down to the screw, the body is restored and strengthened. The salon also undergoes a complete refurbishment, receives new finishing materials, new sports front seats, a modern climate control system, a multimedia screen and a number of other comfortable additions. The body is painted in Alan Mann Racing's signature colors – red and gold.
