The new modification was distinguished by the design of the front end and an expanded list of standard equipment. It is possible that such a design will subsequently become uniform for all trim levels of the model.
A junior minivan with hinged rear doors in the Trumpchi brand (the Chinese concern GAC uses this brand only in its homeland) appeared in 2018. Initially, the model bore the index GM6, then in China it was renamed M6. In 2021, the van received a version with a new design and the “surname” Pro, which subsequently supplanted the original. And now the M6 is entering the home market with another redesigned appearance and another prefix – Max. This minivan is currently presented in the only and most luxurious configuration: in fact, the M6 Max is the new top-end version of the model. Although it is quite possible that later the Max will supplant the M6 Pro, that is, before us is a harbinger of restyling.

The GAC Trumpchi M6 Max received an even more impressive “grill”: the radiator grille became wider, two massive silver trims appeared on top, and large “boomerangs” appeared on the sides. The minivan also gets new 18-inch wheels, plus it has matrix headlights by default (the M6 Pro has such optics starting from the second-oldest trim level). But the dimensions have not changed compared to the Pro version: length – 4793 mm, width – 1837 mm, height – 1765 mm, wheelbase – 2810 mm.

The interior has not been affected by the reforms. Like the M6 Pro, the new modification is available exclusively with a seven-seater interior, the seats are arranged according to the 2+2+3 scheme. The list of standard equipment of the Trumpchi M6 Max includes: a combined virtual instrument panel (7 inches) and a multimedia system screen (10.25 inches), heated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, all-round cameras and cruise control. There is also an electric trunk lid (for the Pro version this is an option).

The equipment was transferred from the GAC Trumpchi M6 Pro: it is a 1.5 petrol turbo-four with a power of 177 hp. (270 Nm) and a seven-speed robotic gearbox with two clutches. The drive is exclusively front-wheel drive.

For Trumpchi M6 Max they are asking 145,800 yuan, which is equivalent to approximately 1.8 million rubles at the current exchange rate. Trumpchi M6 Pro excluding shares costs 119,800 – 139,800 yuan (1.48 million – 1.7 million rubles).

Along with the older Trumpchi M8 minivan, the “six” is being exported, so later the Max will probably reach other countries. However, unlike the M8, the model with the M6 index is not officially presented in Russia.
