ST. PETERSBURG, June 3 The ex-head of a St. Petersburg construction company that was involved in road repairs was detained in a 2017 tax case, all this time he was on the federal wanted list, reports the press service of the GUMVD for the city and the Leningrad region.
«On June 2 at 03:30, during operational and investigative activities, officers of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia together with a State Traffic Safety Inspectorate crew detained a 72-year-old St. Petersburg resident who was on the federal wanted list near house 21 on Novatorov Boulevard. The man is accused of committing a crime under Part 2 of Article 199.2 (concealment of funds or property of an organization) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation,» the press service reported.
It was established that in 2017, the detainee, being the director and shareholder of a highway construction company, transferred 38 million rubles to the bank account of another organization in order to conceal funds from which arrears in taxes in the amount of 102 million rubles were to be collected.
“The man was taken to the police department in the Kirovsky district of St. Petersburg for further transfer to the initiator of the search,” added the press service of the regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The press release does not provide personal information about the detainee, but a source in the operational services clarified that we are talking about Vladimir Guryanov, the former general director of the Lendorstroy-2 company.
