ST. PETERSBURG, June 5 Unknown persons attacked a woman with a knife in a private house in the village of Komarovo in St. Petersburg, a criminal case of attempted murder was opened , reported the city headquarters of the RF IC.
“It has been previously established that unknown persons attacked a woman with a knife in the village of Komarovo in a private house… The investigative department for the Kurortny district… opened a criminal case for attempted murder by a group of persons associated with robbery (part 3 of article 30, paragraphs “g”, “h” of part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation),” the message says. 
SSUSK does not provide the personal information of the victim, but a source in law enforcement agencies said that the victim of the assassination attempt was Galina Shamakhova, the wife of the former director of the North-West Institute of Management of the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA) under Russian President Vladimir Shamakhov.
According to some regional media and Telegram channels, the woman herself called the police and doctors, she was hospitalized at hospital No. 40 in the Kurortny district. His condition is assessed as stable.
