DOM.RF and GC FSK will jointly promote energy-efficient construction. Other developers will soon join the global project of the state company.
In accordance with the agreement signed at SPIEF-2024, DOM.RF will analyze data on the actual consumption of resources for heating, heat supply, ventilation, hot water supply and maintenance of common areas and apartments in buildings built by FSK Region. An assessment of the cost of energy efficiency measures and the transition of buildings to higher energy efficiency classes will also be carried out.
«The quality of green projects, their price and value characteristics are important data that we are starting to collect in the construction and housing and communal services sector. The change in the cost of operating buildings depending on their energy efficiency classes is the subject of our current interest. Digitizing such a correlation will allow us to more clearly articulate the benefits of green construction for the population, as well as to show the feasibility of a project financing program with benefits for energy-efficient buildings to the market and regulators,» commented Marina Slutskaya, Director of Sustainable Development and International Cooperation at DOM.RF.
In addition, as part of the signed agreement, the parties will consider the possibility of finalizing project documentation for facilities that participate in the cluster program of project financing from DOM.RF and apply for an additional discount for green projects. The program was launched in 2023 and is aimed at stimulating the construction of housing in regions with insufficient supply, including energy efficient housing. Another agreement is the promotion of educational programs of DOM.RF in the field of green construction.
“Green construction in Russia is based on national standards, which provide quality guidelines for developers. Of course, these are additional obligations for us. For example, we must provide bicycle parking and energy saving in the outdoor lighting system, separate collection of construction waste and control of thermal energy consumption. However, in the long term, this makes it possible to reduce the cost of operating and reconstructing infrastructure, reduce carbon dioxide emissions from the operation of buildings, and also increase their service life, while reducing the frequency of both current and major repairs, and, of course, improve the quality of housing for citizens,” noted First Deputy General Director of FGC Region Roman Kapinos.
DOM.RF plans to conclude similar agreements with other developers. Among them: «DOM.RF Development», «Resource Development — Ostrogornaya», NC «Trust», «Format». Also, DOM.RF at SPIEF 2024 signed an agreement on a strategic partnership in the field of green construction with Unigreen Energy, a company that implements projects in the field of renewable energy, integrating the entire technological chain: from the production of electrical equipment to the design, construction and operation of solar power plants . The partners agreed to work together to improve the methodology for calculating the carbon footprint of buildings and infrastructure. The focus will be on reducing the carbon footprint and optimizing energy consumption through the use of solar power plants and photovoltaic façade systems.
