MOSCOW, June 7. Russian private media companies can and even should engage in international activities that would promote national interests, says Alexander Zharov, General Director of Gazprom-Media Holding.
Zharov took part in the session “Art without borders: development of cultural diplomacy” within the framework of SPIEF-2024.
“”Any private media company is set up to make a profit, but in order to make a profit in our own and foreign markets, we must produce a product that will be in demand by the audience both in our country and in other countries. We talked about the co-production of films, and I am absolutely sure that this is a tool of diplomacy in the field of culture,” the holding quoted Zharov as saying.
