Gazprombank and RUSAL signed indicative terms for financing the environmental modernization of aluminum production plants. The signing took place during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
Gazprombank plans to provide financing for up to 10 years in the amount of up to 40 billion rubles. to introduce the best available technologies at the Krasnoyarsk and Bratsk aluminum smelters of RUSAL, the largest enterprises of the group, producing a total of more than 2 million tons of aluminum per year. The modernization project involves transferring half of the capacities of KrAZ and BrAZ to modern pre-baked anode technology while maintaining the total volume of metal production.
The implementation of the investment project will improve production efficiency and at the same time reduce emissions to reduce the impact on the environment.
