Russia said it had shot down 87 Ukrainian drones, of which 70 were aimed at the southern Rostov region, where its military operation against Ukraine is headquartered.
The Ministry of Defense said that 70 drones were shot down over Rostov, six each over Kursk and Voronezh, two each over Volgograd and the Belgorod region bordering Ukraine, and one over the annexed Crimean Peninsula.

In the Voronezh region, which borders Ukraine, a fuel tank was slightly damaged by falling debris, its regional governor Alexander Gusev said.
Meanwhile, Kyiv said that Ukrainian air defense systems shot down 24 of the 31 Russian drones and missiles launched overnight.
Three people were injured in a drone attack in the east of the country. Sumy region and several houses in neighboring Kharkiv region were damaged.
