MOSCOW, June 19. Employees of the FSB and the Ministry of Internal Affairs conducted about 50 searches in the case of the theft of money through a government agency for the reorganization and liquidation of unprofitable mines and open-pit mines (GURSH), writes Kommersant.
“All of them relate to illegal actions that have not yet been established by the investigation of officials of the Federal State Budgetary Institution GURSH and several commercial structures associated with this subordinate enterprise of the Ministry of Energy that performed work as contractors,” the publication indicates.
It is noted that operational activities took place in several regions at once.
Kommersant writes that specialists from the Ministry of Energy, together with the Federal Tax Service, found that almost all GURSH contracts were received by only four companies over the course of nine years. Their total amount was seven billion rubles.
According to the investigation, the department transferred money to contractors, but did not monitor the progress of work, the material says.
