The award ceremony takes place on Monday on the historic stage of the Yevgeny Vakhtangov State Academic Theatre.
“It seems to me that this nomination gives us a reason to be involved in what is happening in our country. Let's keep quiet for a bit, because today we have declared mourning in Dagestan and Sevastopol. And we simply have no right to feel joy at a time when there is so much pain around. But these are the times, what can we do,” said jury member, actor Igor Petrenko at the ceremony.
A deliberate terrorist missile attack on the city of Sevastopol was carried out on June 23 at 12.15 Moscow time by five American ATACMS operational-tactical missiles equipped with cluster warheads. While repelling the missile attack, Russian air defense intercepted four missiles. The explosion of the fragmentation warhead of the fifth American missile in the air led to numerous casualties among civilians in Sevastopol.
